The Effect of Knowledge on the High School Teachers’ Research Performance from the Managers’ Point of View in the Academic Year of 2009-2010 in Saqqez Town

Abstract :
The management of knowledge, emphasizing on creation of values, manages the knowledge and increases the capability for developing knowledge as well as considering the point that “the best performance of yesterday is not necessarily of today and tomorrow”. This research investigated the effect of knowledge on the high school teachers’ research performance from the managers’ point of view in Saqqez town. The research method was descriptive, and the method of data gathering was library and field type. The research instrument included a researcher made questionnaire whose reliability was measured using Cronbach’s Alpha (98%) after a group of experts including the reader and advisor of the project had confirmed its validity. The research sample consisted of 76 high school managers of both genders. Because of the limited and available population, the counting method was applied and the managers’ views about the research subject were taken into consideration: 1) Regarding the first research question which asked the mangers about the main components of the management of knowledge, the obtained data showed the following four types considering the library research done in the field and the literature review in Iran and the world: A) the component of knowledge development, B) the component of knowledge saving, C) the component of knowledge transfer, and D) the component of knowledge transfer; 2) Regarding the second research question which asked the research subjects about the present condition of the management of knowledge in Saqqez town, the statistical analyses showed that the present condition of the management of knowledge in the Saqqez town is favorable and normal; 3) Regarding the third research question which asked the managers about the present condition of the research performance in Saqqez town, the results of the statistical analyses showed that the research performance in the town was favorable and normal; 4) Regarding the fourth research question which asked whether the management of knowledge affected the high school teachers’ research performance in Saqqez town, using the Regression model and determining the relationship between the management of knowledge and teachers’ research performance, applying the Pearson’s coefficient of correlation, the obtained correlation coefficient proved to be 0.61. In other words, there was a direct relationship between the management of knowledge and the teachers’ research performance.
