One theory believes in the reduction of participation due to reasons such as increasing awareness, the ineffectiveness of citizens' participation in policy making, the decimal attitude towards elections, the gap between the middle class and the mass of people. The second opinion believes in the positive effects of political participation in dialogue-oriented framework, scientific criticism of policy making, peaceful transfer of power and reduction of political tension.
