The relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational culture with organizational citizenship behavior

Abstract :
The main goal of the current research is to identify the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational culture with the organizational citizenship behavior of Mehr Eketsad Bank employees in Tehran. The research method has been done in terms of descriptive purpose, in terms of collecting information as a survey and in terms of data analysis as a correlation. The statistical population of this research includes all the employees working in Mehr Ekhtaz Bank in Tehran, numbering 623 people, who were selected through random sampling and based on Morgan's table, a sample size of 234. The data collection tools are Schering's standard emotional intelligence questionnaire, Dennison's organizational culture (2000) and Toure's citizenship behavior (2015), whose content and form validity were confirmed by experts and its reliability was confirmed with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.94. The results show that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior, and also, from the dimensions of emotional intelligence, self-control dimension and self-awareness dimension respectively have the greatest effect on organizational citizenship behavior. The results also indicate that there is a relationship between organizational culture and organizational citizenship behavior, and from the dimensions of organizational culture, the similarity dimension has the greatest impact on organizational citizenship behavior. Based on the findings of the research, it is concluded that the more people have emotional intelligence in the organization and the culture of the organization is at a favorable level, the incidence of organizational citizenship behaviors in employees increases.
