Providing a practical model for improving the selection and appointment of principals of secondary schools in the country

Abstract :
The present study was conducted with the aim of providing a practical model for the selection and appointment of principals of secondary schools in the country. This research was carried out using a mixed approach, in the qualitative stage, the components were extracted with the help of content analysis of interviews with 25 experts and managers of the country's education system, and in the quantitative stage, the final model was tested using the survey method. The validity of the selected components obtained from the qualitative phase was measured using the Kappa method and its reliability was measured using the criteria of acceptability, transferability, reliability and confirmability. By coding the interview texts, a total of 140 basic themes were obtained, which were categorized into 9 core categories. Adherence of people to religious and religious values, individual and personality characteristics of people, good record, reputation and acceptability of people, professional and occupational skills and experiences of people, scientific and research abilities, human, social and professional skills, competencies Intellectual and perceptive, free-spirited, collaborative and effective leadership abilities of individuals and interest, satisfaction, motivation and occupational and organizational commitment are the components of selection and appointment of secondary school principals in the country. The extracted theme network was confirmed by surveying a sample of 380 people and confirmatory factor analysis with the help of PLS software.
