Abstract :
In the present era, in educational environments, including universities, in addition to tangible and physical assets, there is another type of asset called intangible assets. These intangible assets, including intellectual property, are considered one of the most important assets of any university. These types of assets strengthen the value and cultural foundations of the university and shape its identity. In the meantime, Islamic Azad University, as one of the most prominent higher education institutions, not only works in the field of knowledge production and providing quality education, but also plays an active role in expanding and strengthening intangible assets. The purpose of this research is to design a model of intellectual assets of Islamic Azad University based on creating value from intangible assets. The research method is qualitative, content analysis. The sampling method is purposive and snowball, and the participants are decision-makers and policymakers in the fields of educational management, public management, strategic management, and financial management, totaling 12 people. For validity, four concepts of credibility, trust, verification, and transferability were used, and for reliability, the coefficient of agreement between the two coders was used. Data analysis was performed through open, axial coding using Max Quda software version 22. According to the research findings, intellectual property includes the components of patenting, ethical values, and citizenship behavior. According to the research findings, it can be concluded that since Islamic Azad University operates in the information and technology era based on the intellectual and creative abilities of its members, intellectual property is recognized as a strategic resource for creating value and realizing their long-term goals. In addition, intellectual property can not only enhance a university's reputation and position among competitors, but also help attract academic elites, develop international research projects, and establish connections with society and industry.
