Abstract :
The present study aimed to identify and prioritize the drivers of digital culture in second-year high schools in Tehran. The research adopted a sequential mixed data approach with an exploratory design, including interview stages in the qualitative part and descriptive survey/correlation stages in the quantitative part. The qualitative sample included 15 experts selected through purposive non-random sampling, while the quantitative sample comprised 202 teachers from second-year high schools in Tehran, selected using a multi-stage cluster random sampling method. Data collection involved interviews in the qualitative part and researcher-made questionnaires in the quantitative part. The validity and reliability of the tools were examined and confirmed in both sections. Data analysis in the qualitative part utilized interviews, and in the quantitative part included descriptive and inferential statistics (confirmatory factor analysis and one-sample t-test) using Maxqda-V2018, Spss-V23, and Smart Pls-V3 software.
The findings indicated that the drivers of digital culture in schools included technology accessibility, teacher training in the use of new technologies, digital culture among students, social interactions in cyberspace, and analysis of digital educational content. Among these components, digital culture among students was prioritized first. Finally, the research model was designed and tested for validity, considering the identified dimensions, components, and indicators, with results indicating the model's appropriate validity.
