Abstract :
Objective: The purpose of the present research was to develop a model for the role of antisocial behaviors in male players of the Iranian futsal league.
Methods: The research method was descriptive-survey and, in terms of purpose, applied, conducted in a field setting. The statistical population consisted of sports management professors, managers, coaches, and expert athletes involved in professional sports activities across the country. The sample was selected through convenience sampling, consisting of 385 participants from the statistical population. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire, whose validity was confirmed by 12 sports management professors and specialists. The reliability of the research was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which was 0.77. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling through SPSS version 25 and PLS version 3 software.
Results: The results showed that competitive pressure, culture, behavioral patterns, laws, social systems, discrimination, and corruption in sports could lead to the emergence of antisocial behaviors among male players in the Iranian futsal league. Competitive pressure in the professional futsal environment can lead to excessive competition and stress due to striving for superiority, which might cause players to engage in antisocial behaviors.
Conclusions: Therefore existing cultural and behavioral patterns, as well as laws and the social system, can either promote antisocial behavioral patterns or aid in preventing antisocial behaviors.
