Irrigation and drainage networks contribute to the balance between water resources management and sustainable agricultural development and have valuable effects on the economy and society. Participation of farmers in irrigation and drainage networks increases water productivity and improves agricultural sustainability. Therefore, the participation of users in irrigation network plans is essential as a new approach in water management. In this regard, a research was conducted with the aim of investigating social and economic characteristics and their impact on the participation and success of irrigation and drainage networks, focusing on the Alborz Dam network. The statistical population of this study included 72 farmers who participated in the irrigation and drainage network of Alborz Dam. The results showed that, in terms of social security, the implementation of irrigation network projects has reduced disputes and anomalies among the villagers. In terms of social literacy, farmers have considered the implementation of irrigation network projects to increase awareness in the field of strengthening local institutions. In terms of social participation, the implementation of irrigation network projects has not led to the participation of villagers in other village affairs. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of altruistic and Egoistic values on the attitude and intention of farmers in Kermanshah province to adapt to water shortage. In order to select farmers, a multi-stage cluster sampling method was used (n=380). The data was collected from the wheat farmers of Kermanshah province through a researcher-made questionnaire. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire was tested and confirmed. The conceptual model was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that the variable of altruistic values had a positive and significant effect on the variables of attitude and intention to adapt, and the variable of egoistic values had a negative and significant effect on the variables of attitude and intention to adapt. Also, the attitude variable towards adapting to water scarcity had a positive and significant effect on the intention to adapt. In the present study, 39% of the variance of the attitude variable and 50.1% of the variance of the intention to adapt to water scarcity were explained. Manuscript profile

This study aimed to determine the criteria, sub-criteria, and priorities of brand equity (BE) in the agricultural extension and education (AEAE) field at Islamic Azad University. Prioritization and weighting of the BE alternatives of the AEAE field were performed by the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) approaches. Given the fact that we targeted customer-based brand equity (CBBE), 28 Ph.D. students with higher knowledge and understanding in the field of AEAE were selected from the Islamic Azad University of Iran using purposive sampling. A questionnaire based on the 1-9 Saati scale was considered our main research tool. The outputs of the sub-criteria priorities based on the weights derived from the Expert Choice and Super Decision software were used to compare the results obtained from the AHP and ANP approaches for the BE in the AEAE field. The results of this study can be utilized by managers and marketers of higher education in the field of agriculture and specifically in (AEAE). Manuscript profile
