Investigating the Prediction of Divorce Susceptibility based on Exchange Style, Emotion Self-Regulation, Lifestyle and Sexual Intimacy among Couples in Tabriz City

Abstract :
Background and purpose: The purpose of this research was to present a predictive model of divorce susceptibility based on exchange style, emotional self-regulation, lifestyle and sexual intimacy among couples in Tabriz city.
Research method: The statistical population of the study is married people in Ward 1 of Tabriz city, and the simple random sampling method was used for the sample size, and Cochran's formula was used for the sample size for unlimited communities, which is equal to 384 people. In this research, the field method was used to collect information with the help of a questionnaire, which was used for the susceptibility to divorce of the marriage instability questionnaire (likelihood of divorce) by Edwards et al. (1987); for exchange style from Lippman et al.'s social exchange style questionnaire (2011); for emotional self-regulation from the standard questionnaire of emotional self-regulation (emotional styles) by Hoffman and Kashdan (2010); For lifestyle, the lifestyle questionnaire of Laali et al.
Conclusion: The results of the research indicate that there is a significant and direct relationship between the proneness to divorce with exchange style among couples in Tabriz city (p<0.05); There is a significant and direct relationship between divorce susceptibility and emotional self-regulation among couples in Tabriz city (p<0.05); There is a significant and direct relationship between the susceptibility to divorce and lifestyle among couples in Tabriz city
