Abstract :
Objective: The present research was done to understand the state of the country's scientific productions in humanities (as a subject area). It has been done to present effective trends and drive forces in this field. The current research is practical in terms of purpose. Methodology: In this research, the methods of trend analysis, future workshop, expert panel, and cross-impact analysis were used. The research community includes managers, experts, and researchers in humanities, who were selected by snowball sampling (chain-referral sampling). The tools used in this research are interviews, questionnaires, and expert panels. The research data analysis tool is MicMac. Findings: Based on the findings of the structural analysis and the confirmation of research experts, five factors of international scientific interactions and networking, policy-making and research orientation, the adoption of interdisciplinary approaches, the level of ability, skill, and creativity of researchers, and the synchronization of researchers with the emerging and technological developments were recognized as driving forces in Building future alternatives for Iran's scientific outputs in humanities. Conclusion: Taking advantage of these five driving forces, influential drivers can provide a clear understanding of planning to this area's officials and policymakers.
