Abstract :
Aim: In this research, the mediating role of self-efficacy in the relationship between metacognition and computer anxiety of female students has been investigated. Research method: Descriptive and correlation type was conducted using structural and cross-sectional equations. The statistical population includes all undergraduate female students of the Faculty of Psychology, Tehran Center, in the academic year 1402-1401, and using the available sampling method, 225 female students were selected as a sample and applied to Wells, Cutright and Hutton's metacognitive questionnaires. (2004), Haynes, Glass and Knight's (1987) computer anxiety and Maddox's self-efficacy (1982) have answered. Data analysis was done using structural equation model and spss18 and amoss23 software. Findings: The analysis of the obtained data showed that metacognition and self-efficacy have an effect of 0.262 and 0.249 on computer anxiety, and the paths of metacognition and self-efficacy specifically account for 0.80 and 0.072 of the common variance of computer anxiety. They explain and predict. Conclusion: The results of the research showed that the structural equation model of the research has a good fit and the results indicated that metacognitive and self-efficacy beliefs are very effective in computer anxiety, therefore by considering these factors and appropriate measures, computer anxiety can be reduced.
