Abstract :

This research is to identify the factors affecting the design of residential space based on quality criteria in order to improve the sense of satisfaction of the residents. First titles with the concept of quality in architectural design were obtained from library studies, then each one was analyzed and the sub-criteria were determined by the scoring method with experts' opinions,  their relationship with the residents' satisfaction using the distribution of questionnaires  in Rasht was measured. In order to weight and determine the importance and priority of criteria and sub-criteria, the best-worst fuzzy method of paired comparisons was performed and the solution was done using lingo software. Then, partial least squares technique was used and the data was analyzed using smart pls software. The results obtained indicate that the quality of the living space, which includes physical and socio-psychological criteria, has a significant impact on the level of satisfaction of the residents
