Abstract :
The phenomenon of land subsidence is one of the hazards that has occurred in many areas in recent years and has caused many problems for agricultural lands, residential areas and roads in some plains of the country. This phenomenon is caused by various factors such as: tectonics, mining of underground reserves, construction activities, etc. One of the most suitable methods for identifying the subsidence phenomenon is the use of radar interferometric technique. In the present study, the rate and range of subsidence in the Sar Firuzabad plain of Kermanshah, using the radar interferometric technique (insar), was used in the 5-year period from 2017 to 2022. For this purpose, Sentinel 1 (S_1A-IW-SLC) radar images with a 100-meter spatial baseline were used and analyzed in SNAP SANTINEL and ARC GIS software. The findings of the research confirm the rule of subsidence of 1 to 4 cm in the studied area. Spatial distribution of subsided areas indicates the maximum occurrence of subsidence in the central plain, north, southeast and west areas of the region. Co-organization of subsidence maps shows the relationship between land use, geological conditions (alluvium), in different areas of the plain. In recent years, indiscriminate extraction of underground water resources in different areas of the plain (development of irrigated agriculture), and geological conditions have intensified the subsidence in this plain. Also, by using radar interferometry (time series), coherence image in radar interferometry technique (insar), conducting field observations and Google Earth satellite image, the results were validated and studied.
