    Article submission conditions

    The articles are published in the quarterly in the following three formats:

    A- Research Articles, which are the result of research findings of the author or authors.

    B- Review Articles: which includes a general review of a new scientific topic, and the author of these articles must have sufficient scientific experience and be an expert in the field under discussion. Merely translated articles will not be accepted.

    C - Short-communication articles: In order to speed up the publication of scientific findings, the quarterly journal includes short articles. These articles should not be more than four pages and can only have one table or graph and maximum five sources. The article does not need a Farsi abstract and must contain three sections: introduction, method, results, and short discussion (preparation of an English abstract is required).

    1- In review articles, the author must have sufficient expertise and mastery in the topic of discussion and have mentioned at least three published articles related to the same topic in reputable scientific journals.

    2- The publication of the material contained in this magazine is free, provided that the source is mentioned.

    3- All material and intellectual rights of articles published for the quarterly are reserved.

    4- Opinions and opinions contained in the articles do not necessarily express the opinions and opinions of the magazine

    Setting up different sections of the article

    In arranging and writing different parts of the submitted article, the following order should be observed:

    The first page contains the following entry:

    - The full title of the article: it should contain the topic of the article, typed in thick font.

    - Name and surname of the author or authors, scientific rank and academic position.

    - The address of the place of employment of the author or authors, including the corresponding university or research institute.

    - The address of the first (main) author, including: full postal address, phone number, fax number and E-Mail for other researchers to access the author of the article and Orchid number

    - The second page contains the abstract of the article in Persian. This abstract should be at most 250 words and include the objectives, methodology, most important findings and conclusions of the study. At the end of the Persian abstract, it is necessary to mention keywords (three to five words). In addition, it is mandatory to send an English abstract on a separate page, including the title of the article, the name of the author/authors, the corresponding university/institute, and their academic rank. The structure of the abstract should be as follows:

    bjective(s), Methods, Results, Conclusion, Keywords

    Introduction

    In addition to stating the purpose of the research, it should refer to a summary of previous studies and observations related to the research with the desired research, citing the sources.

    research method

    It should fully describe how to design the study, how to select the sample, and how to collect and analyze the data.

    findings

    The findings of the research should be expressed in the form of text, tables and graphs completely and without discussion.

    The contents presented in the text, tables and diagrams should not be repetitive.

    Tables and graphs should be statistically, completely clear and correct, and the presentation of graphs should be avoided.

    Tables, graphs, and photos with captions should be prepared and numbered on separate pages, consistent with the number and explanation in the text.

    Discussion and conclusion

    In this part, the process of conducting the current research and its findings are compared with previous similar cases inside and outside the country, the reasons for rejecting or accepting them are fully discussed, and in the end, it is better to conduct the research better. Similar solutions are proposed in the future.

    Research Implications: Family and Health Journal adds a new Research Implications section to its articles. The meaning of (Research Implication) is to express the effect that the study has on subsequent studies, policies or medical/health practice. In other words, "what effect will your research have on the target society or topic" is a question that will be answered by the practical implications of the research.

    Ethical Considerations: All articles written based on experimental research on human samples must have a letter indicating informed consent and approval from the local ethical committee. In the case of researchers who do not have access to an official ethical committee, the principles specified in the Declaration of Helsinki should be followed. Written informed consent must be obtained from each person participating in the study or their parents or legal guardians (in the case of minors).

    Conflicts of interest: Authors must mention any sources of credit and any potential conflicts of interest, including receiving money or rewards and participation in any organization that may benefit or lose from the publication of your article. Mentioning the above will not automatically reject the article; But it is better for the journal to be aware of them. (Sample of conflict of interest text: The authors hereby declare that this work is the result of an independent research and does not have any conflict of interest with other organizations and persons). For more information on conflict of interest, please refer to the editorial policy.

    Acknowledgments: In the Acknowledgments section, the authors should thank those who participated in the submitted work but do not meet the criteria for inclusion in the authors section of the article. Mentioning any assistance or support related to translation or editing by third parties such as specialized authoring/editing centers is mandatory. Authors must obtain permission from all the items mentioned for the acknowledgment section.

    If the submitted article is the result of a research project approved by universities or research institutes, the project code or thesis code should be mentioned at the end of the article.

    Signs and abbreviations:

    Use standard abbreviations and avoid mentioning them in the title and abstract. Also, for the first time, abbreviations must be given together with the full form of the words, and in case of repetition, only the abbreviation form should be used, unless the symbol is a standard unit of measurement. Avoid using abbreviations in the abstract and title.

    Destruction of information related to the process of review of articles: After the publication of the article, the copies of the article, letters of the author of the interface, forms and designs will be kept for 6 months and then destroyed.

    Sources and references:

    Referencing is in terms of Vancouver. References at the end of the article should be numbered according to the order of use in the text. Also, in the text after using each source, insert the source number in parentheses.

    All sources must be written in English. The way to write all kinds of sources, whether articles or books, is as follows:

    In this method, a number is assigned to each source used, and the complete specifications of that source are given under the title of the list of sources at the end of the text. How to write the complete specifications of the sources used is different based on the type of source (book, article, thesis, etc.) In the text, at the end of the sentence or sentences from that source, inside a parenthesis after the end of the sentence, the number corresponding to that source is given in the list of sources.

    General principles: The numbering of sources is in the order of references in the text, that is, the first source used will be number 1. When several sources are cited in one part of the text, if their numbers are consecutive, the smallest and largest source numbers are inserted and a dark line is placed between them [example: (3-8) but if the numbers are not consecutive A comma is placed between each number and the next number without inserting a space [Example: 7, 10, 5-2.

    In the list of sources, the name of the author or authors, translator or translators, compiler or compilers or the responsible organization is entered first. If there are 6 people or less, all of them should be mentioned, but if there are 7 or more people, Only the names of the first 6 people are written, and after the name of the sixth person, in Persian sources, the phrase "and colleagues" is written, and in English sources, the phrase "al et" is written.

    The names of the authors should be given in the order mentioned in the source, and when typing the names, first the author's family name and after a space, the first letter of the name or names are mentioned in capital letters without a space between them. A comma and then a space is placed between the names of the authors, and a period is typed at the end of the list of names.

    In the typeface of English sources, the first letter of the name and family name, and the title of the book or article, as well as the name of the publisher and the place of publication, should be in capital letters. Also, a space should be given after the type of comma and period.

    How to write a reference list:

    Book: a) The book has a compiler or compilers and each chapter has an author or authors:

      The thesis is similar to a book with one author, but by mentioning the name of the university instead of the book publisher.

    For an article that has been accepted for publication in the journal but has not yet been published, a comma is added after the year of publication, and then in Persian journals the term "in press" and in English journals the term "press in". For articles published in electronic publications or the Internet, an electronic address is provided.

    Ethical issues:

    In addition to observing the ethical principles in research and maintaining the confidentiality rights of patients regarding interventional research on humans or animals, it is mandatory to send the approval letter of the research ethics committee of the relevant institution. Obtaining the approval of the ethics committee of the university in clinical research and mentioning compliance with ethical obligations in clinical or animal research is mandatory.

    Finalization of the submitted article:

    Please complete the checklist to ensure that the article meets all the necessary criteria.

    The title page contains the title, names and addresses of the authors (Persian and English) and email, orchid number and mobile number of the author responsible for the article, abstract of the article (Persian and English), full text including the constituent parts of the article.

    Ethical considerations of the conflict-of-interest article. Acknowledgment (mentioning the approved code of the research project or thesis) and

    References (the number of references is based on the type of article and using the Vancouver method) attached files (tables, figures and diagrams, etc.) cover letter with the signature of all authors

    Revision of article registration

    Any future review of the article registration based on the request from the editor should follow the same guidelines provided here. After registering the revised article, the authors will be asked to submit a re-registration letter along with the details of the revision based on the comments provided by the editor. Due to blind refereeing, supplemental review details should not contain author details.

    Preparation of formulas and equations:

    Equations must be written in the MathType program. Do not use graphics as formulas. Make sure the equations are editable. If you have used the equation editing tool included in the Microsoft Word program, the equations will be unusable during layout and pagination, and the editor of the production department may ask you to edit the equations using Enter Math Type again. Long equations should be separated from the text and numbered in order. You can refer to equations in subsequent references within the text using numbers. Example: equation 1, equation 2 and 3

    If the use of a large number of equations or designs is unavoidable, you can collect them in a table of equations and prepare an image from it to avoid creating problems in Chinese characters.

    Picture preparation:

    Images should be cited in the text in numerical order (eg, image 1 or image 2 and 3). Send the images separately and do not enter the text. A description for each image must be provided at the time of submission. Images and descriptions will be automatically added to the PDF Proof file at the end of the submission process. Images that have multiple panels (name parts with (a,b,c,d)) should be combined and sent as one file.

    Charts should be created in a simple, two-dimensional format without a grid background. Make sure any specific details about the patient or the hospital are removed or blacked out (eg, X-ray images, MRI scans, etc.).

    If images of patients are used, they must not be identifiable. The original data from which the images were prepared must be available because the editor may want to see them (for example, Office, SPSS or other line art images). Avoid using retouching tools such as simulation tools. or repair in Photoshop or any other feature that causes ambiguity in deliberate manipulation. In order to publish all images under open access, if the authors wish to use images that have already been published elsewhere in non-open access journals, they must obtain permission from the rights holders. Figures and images downloaded from web pages should not be used unless the author has the right to republish them as open access. The original source and permission should be placed in the description of the table and its citation should also be placed in the list of references.

    Quality and file format:

    All submitted images must be of high quality. This means that their quality should be 300 dpi for color images, 600 dpi for black and white images and 1200 dpi for line art. The following types of files are accepted for the images section: EPS (suitable for diagrams or images), PDF (suitable for diagrams or images, Microsoft Word) (suitable for diagrams or images, images must be on one page), Microsoft PowerPoint (suitable) For graphs or images, the images should be on one page, (TIFF) suitable for images (JPEG) suitable for photographic images, not so suitable for graphic images). To ensure that the images are of the highest quality during the creation and printing of the article, consider the following. EPS and PDF are preferable to TIFF when creating graphs, charts, or any type of image from the software you use. If possible, preferably use PDF because they are more compact than EPS files.

    Vector design data files should be provided in PDF or EPS format. You can send graphs, charts or images created in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint as forms. The submitted file can only have one page or one slide, the dimensions of the slide page must be adjusted to the dimensions of the desired figure, and there should be no extra blank areas around. Photographs, histology slides, radiographs, etc. should be submitted as JPEG or TIFF. Microsoft Word or PowerPoint should not be used for labels, arrows, and other markings on photographs, histology slides, radiographs, etc.; Because it reduces the quality of the forms. To do this, use special image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop to create high-quality JPEG and TIFF files. TIFF files should be saved with LZW compression, which is done without quality loss (reduces the file size without quality loss) and makes the upload time shorter.

    Preparation of tables:

    Tables should be cited in the main text in order of number (for example, Table 1 or Tables 2 and 3). Tables must be cells and do not use returns, tabs or spaces. Tables created using other software as non-editable images are not accepted. Please remember that the direction of the tables is right to left.

    Tables should be drawn vertically on the page. An abstract title should be inserted before each table. All columns should have an abstract heading that explains the data in them. Tables should be simple, without colors, shadows or graphic images. Tables should not contain text box, table inside another table or cell inside another cell. Multipart tables with different number of columns or footers should be arranged as separate tables. Do not use commas to indicate numerical values. Symbols and abbreviations should be defined immediately below the table and a brief description should be provided. If any table or the data contained therein has been previously published, the footnotes for that table should provide full attribution to the original source. Larger datasets or tables that are wider than A4 page or with letter landscape size should be uploaded as additional files. You can upload table data that are sent as additional files as Excel Spreadsheet (XLS) or Comma Separated Values ​​(CSV). Please use standard file extensions.

    The number of tables and diagrams should be proportional to the volume of the article. Tables, graphs and photos should be placed at the end of the article and after the sources, mentioning the number and full description.

    Preparation of supplementary/additional files:

    If the submission guide allows you to add additional files, use the instructions below.

    Supplementary files should be cited within the text in numerical order (for example, Supplementary file 1 or Supplementary files 2 and 3. Datasets, large tables, videos, or other information can be cited as Send additional/supplementary files Results that are specified under "data not shown" must be sent in the form of additional/supplementary files.

    Each supplementary/additional file must be sent separately. When submitting, include a short title for each file.

    Prepare the required information:

    Authors should have the following information ready for blind peer-review when submitting the article. Make sure that this information is not in the text of the article.

    Author information:

    Full names and e-mail addresses of all authors, as well as their affiliation (Affiliation) and institutional addresses are required to submit the article. Providing a unique identifier (ORCID) is mandatory for each co-author, but Scopus ID is not mandatory.

    In the authors' contribution section, the authors should explain the contribution of each co-author in ideation, design of the work, collection, analysis or interpretation of data, preparation of the draft or its review in terms of intellectual content.

    Ethical approval and consent for participation

    Authors of articles reporting studies involving human participants, data from human subjects, or human tissues should provide the following information:

    Certificate of ethical approval and consent (even if the need for approval is waived).

     The name of the ethical committee that approved the study and the reference number of the committee if assigned

    Submitted articles in which the study includes animals must be accompanied by a certificate of ethical approval.

    If the submitted article does not include any use of animals or human data or human tissue, please indicate "not included" in this section. In the case of researchers who do not have access to the official ethics committee, the principles specified in the Helsinki declaration must be followed
