Abstract :
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of financial corruption, economic freedom, laws and regulations, and transparency on the profitability of banks accepted in the capital market of Iran. Method: In terms of its practical purpose, this research is of the type of exploratory mixed data, and in terms of its descriptive-survey nature, and based on the time of the research, it is cross-sectional. The community studied in the qualitative section included theoretical foundations and related backgrounds in databases from 2016 to 2012 and outside from 2018 to 2023, as well as academic experts and banking and financial experts. In the data analysis section, thematic analysis using Maxqda2020 software was used in the qualitative section, and descriptive and inferential statistics were used in the quantitative section using SPSS-V23 and Lisrel V8.8 software. Findings: The research results showed that financial corruption has a significant and negative effect on the profitability of banks accepted in the capital market of Iran. Conclusion: Financial corruption in Iran's capital market banks has a significant and negative effect on profitability, and factors such as economic freedom, laws and regulations, and transparency have a positive effect on the profitability of these banks.
