Abstract :

The aim of the current research is to identify the antecedents and consequences of critical thinking of employees in Iranian government organizations using thematic analysis method. This research has a mixed approach which is developmental-applied in terms of purpose and survey in terms of nature and method. The method of collecting information in this research was a combination of library and field studies, and the means of collecting information were referring to documents, interviewing experts, and questionnaires, and the validity and reliability of interviews and questionnaires were confirmed with a high percentage. The statistical population of this research includes 18 professors and specialists in human resource management and senior managers of government organizations who were selected by purposeful sampling; In this research, NVIVO version 11 and SPSS version 26 software were used in the qualitative part to extract and analyze the codes related to interviews with experts. The results of the open coding of the collected qualitative data led to the extraction of 109 primary codes, 31 basic themes and 9 organizing themes of organizational climate and culture, training and development of human resources, employee competence, employee motivation, better decision making and problem solving ability, retention and Maintenance of human resources, productivity and organizational excellence, creativity and innovation and foresight. 91 codes related to the antecedents and consequences of employees' critical thinking were approved by the experts in the fuzzy Delphi process.
