Abstract :

The current study aims to Surveying the awareness Level ofelementary teachers on educational principles in order to providing agood pattern for promoting their awareness Level on educationprinciples in kurdestan Province .The research method employed inthis study in field research and the statistical population includes allthe teachers who have been teaching in the elementary schools of theKurdistan province in the academic year of 2009 – 2010. Thestatistical sample consists of 370 teachers who have been collectedthrough multi-stage and random clustering sampling. In the currentstudy, the data are collected through a questionnaire (comprised of 40four-choice questions). The data are analyzed at two levels:descriptive level (by frequency distribution tables, frequencypercentage, mean, etc.) and analytical level (through q-square, Z and Ttests).The most prominent findings of the research indicate that thelevel of elementary school teachers' cognizance of educationalprinciples is lower than average and there is no meaningful differencebetween the scores in terms of gender variable, but a meaningfuldifference is observed between the scores in terms of academicdegree, service record and major of study.
