Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of problem-solving based education on the quality of family relationships and academic adjustment of students. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The statistical population of the present study included the female students of the first secondary school in Neka city in the academic semester of 1401-1402. 30 students were selected by multi-stage cluster random sampling method based on the research entry criteria and then randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups (15 people in each group). The experimental group was exposed to problem-solving based training based on the training guide of Dzurila et al. (1971) under 10 sessions of 60 minutes, and no training was held for the control group. Before and after the intervention, both groups responded to Sinha et al.'s academic adjustment questionnaire (1993) and Semnani's quality of family relationships (1400). The data obtained in two stages of pre-test and post-test were analyzed using SPSS-24 software and correlation analysis test. The results showed that education based on problem solving has a significant effect on the quality of family relationships and academic adjustment of students, and the effect of the quality of family relationships is more than academic adjustment.
