Representation of school principals' perception of change and barriers to synchronizing with it in the educational system with a narrative research approach

Abstract :
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to narrate the experience of principals of elementary school in Bukan city of West Azerbaijan in keeping up with the changes in the educational system.
Method: This research is of a qualitative type that was conducted using the narrative research method. The research community was all the elementary school principals of Bukan city who were working in the academic year of 1402-1403. From this research community, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 15 of these school principals using the purposeful sampling method and until the theoretical saturation of the data. The data was analyzed by thematic analysis method, for the reliability of the data, the agreement method between the coders was used, and for the validity of the findings, the review method by participants was used.
Result: The results of data analysis through staged theme analysis showed that: school principals' description of changes and their understanding included. Turning the school into a happy environment, increasing the skills of the executive and educational staff of the school, reducing the number of students in a classroom, The importance of paying more attention to games and skill learning in school, changing the method of recruiting and retaining teachers, using an expert teacher for each lesson.
Conclusion: Representation of managers perception of changes in schools makes the school a better environment for teaching and learning and even identifies obstacles to the implementation of changes in schools.
