Abstract :
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to validate the social skills training model for primary school students. Method: Considering its nature, the present research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of survey type. The statistical population included all primary school teachers in Fars province. The sampling method was cluster random sampling. According to Cochran's sampling formula, the sample size was estimated to be 300 people. After obtaining the model of teaching social skills of primary school students, a researcher-made questionnaire was developed based on the main indicators and components of the research, and after determining its validity and reliability, it was distributed among the statistical sample to collect the data required for analysis. In order to analyze the data in the model fit test stage, quantitative methods such as structural equation model, t-test, Kolmograf-Smirnov test and Friedman's prioritization test were used. Findings: The results showed that the causal relationships between the variables were significant and were confirmed according to the fit indices of the model. The assumed relationships between the elements of the social skills training curriculum with the main variable and the relationships of each of these elements with the corresponding components have been calculated, which have been obtained for all significant dimensions. Examining the relationship coefficient of social skills training with the goal element is 0.69, with the content element 0.53, with the education element 0.54 and with the evaluation element 0.48. Also, the beta values for the underlying variables (dimensions of the main indicators) show that all these dimensions have been able to have a meaningful explanation of the main indicators of the research. Conclusion: The model of teaching social skills of students after confirming its validity can be used as a basic model in elementary schools of the country.
