Abstract :
Urban vitality is one of the key concepts in urban planning that refers to the quality of life in urban environments and its relationship with various social, economic, physical, and cultural dimensions. The aim of the present study is to analyze and evaluate the different dimensions of urban vitality in the city of Semirom. The type of research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method, in which library and field tools were used to collect data and analyze the relationships between the different dimensions of urban vitality. The statistical population of the study includes the citizens of Semirom city. The sample size was calculated using the Cochran formula as 384 people, and for greater certainty, the researcher selected 400 samples. Simple random sampling method was used to complete the questionnaire. Data analysis was performed at the descriptive and inferential statistics level. SPSS and AMOS software were also used for statistical analysis and structural equation modeling. The research findings showed that the status of urban vitality in Semirom is not in a good condition in terms of economic, social, physical-spatial, and service-welfare dimensions, with averages below the average of 2.08, 2.38, 2.01, and 2.40, respectively. Structural equation modeling also showed that the physical-spatial factor with a factor loading of 0.92 has the greatest impact on urban vitality, and the economic and social dimensions are in the next ranks. Therefore, the results of the findings show that, on the one hand, the physical-spatial dimension poses the most challenges in the field of urban vitality in Semirom, and on the other hand, by giving priority to the improvement and development of the city's physical-spatial infrastructure, the greatest positive impact can be exerted on the city's exhilaration and vitality
