Abstract :

Edward Young, English poet of the seventeenth century, in his famous Night Thoughts applied a special style as blank verse in the form of poetry to describe the familiar faces in his life deals. The effect of his poetry is inspired by the death of dearest relatives, his wife. Alfred de Musset, after the separation from his lover George Sand, considers poetry and goddesses to help healing the pain separation demands. In this paper we consider the two poets and we will compare the night’s image in their poetry.
