Abstract :

The book Nahj al-Adab is written by Najm al-Ghani Rumpuri. This book is a kind of encyclopedia which has all grammatical issues with many examples and commentaries from more than 300 books, thesesand dictionaries. The third chapter of this book is on letters and after giving a definition for each letter and dividing them into two groups of basic and idiomatic then it discusses the 8 Arabic specific letters. The letters “ ء” and “ اء ” are also included. The present article uses discussions in this book and in modern grammar books to compare and mention the old and new examples in Persian language.
