Abstract :
Sanaee an epoch-maker poet of Persian literature is the turning point of mystical Persian poetry. John Donne the English speaking American poet of Seventeenth-century is of a similar character and thought as Sanaee. Changing status and restless spirit, and tragic dual personality, evolutionary genius in the field of mystical thought, innovation and prominence in lyricism and religious orientation in mysticism are the similar characteristics of these two great belletrists. Accordingly, the common mystical matters as theology, love, intuition, repentance, inexistence and death are read in this article from Sanaee and Donne’s viewpoint.
