“Death” from the perspective of Abu-at-Tayyeb Al-Mutanabbi and Hakīm Abu’l-Qāsim Ferdowsī

Abstract :

This paper is a query about the death from the view of two celebrated Arabic and Persian belletrists Abu-at-Tayyeb Al-Mutanabbi and Hakīm Abu’l-Qāsim Ferdowsī. Each of these wise scholars has drawn an image of death up to the age’s requirements and circumstances. Analyzing these two prominent and famous poets’ beliefs, we find many examples of common thoughts and convergence concerning death. In some places, however, their attitudes are unlike and heterogeneous. And this heterogeneity goes back to the social inequality based on environmental views and demands.
