Abstract :
Literature is influenced by the social requirements and the conditions of the time. When a country is attacked by foreigners and colonists, the people's resistance and struggle against enemies is also reflected in literary works. In the meantime, Iraq's attack on Iran accompanied by Western countries and America's attack on Iraq are two important moments in the history of these two countries. Along with other people of these two countries, artists and writers tried to express the oppression of their people during these two invasions in the form of resistance literature. The novel “ Zamine-Sookhte” by Ahmad Mahmoud is one of the first literary works that deals with Iraq's attack on Iran. On the other hand, the novel “Fihris” by Sinan Antoon was written with the intention of not forgetting Iraq before the American war and keeping it alive in memories with a new narrative style. In the current research, the common themes of these two novels were investigated using the descriptive-analytical method. Describing the devastation and devastation caused by the enemy's attack, expressing people's suffering and pain, anxiety and fear, criticizing politicians and governments, criticizing America's colonial policies, anti-enemy and calling to fight and stand against seditions. Enemy It is one of the important themes of these works.
