Abstract :

Abstract         After the constitutional revolution and translation of Western stories into Persian, we have witnessed the presence of literary schools in Persian story writing. Among them, realism was the most appealing for Iranians and experienced the different levels of socialistic, climatic and psychologic periods. Bozorg Alavi is of the prominent representatives of Realism in Farsi story writing. He has dealt with the situation of Iranian society and has challenged the ruling system of the time in the story of " guileh Mard ". His political, social and cultural concerns are highlighted in this story. We have investigated  and explored the most important realistic components of the story  in a descriptive – analytic method. It seems that Bozarg Alavi had realistic approach in representing the social, political and cultural problems regarding to the time, setting, characterization, scenery and description of events and views. These were the ideals that he believed in them and accomplished in his literary message.
