Abstract :
One of the emerging issues in this field that is less than a decade old is the issue of three-Parent Babies, which solved a dangerous genetic defect (mitochondrial defect). Three-Parent Babies come into being through artificial insemination with the genetic modification, which is different from other artificial insemination so far. This has various implications and raises many issues in the field of ethics, jurisprudence and law. One of the most important jurisprudential issues related to this issue is study about its tow religious sides: whether it’s permissible or not; and its obligatory side. Considering the importance of these two discussions, this article descriptive-analytically deals with the types of artificial insemination, the type considered in the issue of three-parent babies, and its ordinances and effects. After dealing with the issues, due to the different opinions of the Islamic jurists (fuqahā), this paper’s final voting is to prefer the approval of that process. But in the obligatory side, it is accepted a detailed position: a minimal sense of that obligatory to all persons involved in that process.
