Abstract :
The activity of political parties in Iran has a considerable history, and at least at the same time as the Constitutional Revolution, the first parties began to operate. However, an attitude towards the situation of Iranian political parties shows that they do not play a significant role in the political life of the country and have not been able to gain a place for themselves in the country's governing system. Although different writings have mentioned different analyzes about the causes of the weakness of Iranian political parties, what is overlooked is the fact that the process of establishing political parties in the country has suffered from the same constitutional period. Although the constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran has performed better for political parties and accepted the freedom of party than the constitution of the party, it has not been able to function properly in guaranteeing their free activity.
