  • Peer Review Process

Journal of Accounting & Financial Transparency (JAFT) employs a double-blind peer review process, meaning that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review.

    Author Guidelines
Please follow these instructions carefully when preparing your manuscript for submission.

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts via the journal's online platform, by completing their profiles, uploading the manuscript in the specified format, and attaching any necessary supplementary files.

Once the author submits the manuscript, it will undergo an initial review to ensure compliance with the author guidelines. (To speed up the process, please carefully review the author guidelines before submitting and prepare your manuscript accordingly.)

If approved in the first stage, the manuscript will then undergo an initial assessment by the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board, focusing on the content quality and relevance of the topic.

The manuscript will be sent to two independent experts in the field for peer review. These reviewers will evaluate the manuscript, complete the assessment forms, and provide their opinions on its quality and content to the Editor-in-Chief. Based on their feedback, three outcomes are possible:

    • If both reviewers reject the manuscript, it will be withdrawn from the review process, and the corresponding author will be notified.
If the reviewers recommend major or minor revisions, the manuscript will be returned to the authors for careful revision.
If the reviewers do not reach a consensus, the manuscript will be sent to a third reviewer for additional evaluation.

After the author revises and resubmits the manuscript in response to the reviewers' comments, it will be sent to one of the reviewers for a comparative assessment.

If the reviewers provide comments, the author must revise and resubmit the manuscript accordingly.

For manuscripts that, based on the reviewers' feedback, require corrections, the authors must re-upload both the revised manuscript—with all corrections highlighted in a different color—and a separate document addressing the reviewers' comments, through the journal website.

Failure to comply with both of these requirements will lead to the manuscript being returned, resulting in a waste of the authors' valuable time.

Then, the final review of the manuscript is carried out and the status of the manuscript is finalized.

After final editing and approval by the corresponding author, the accepted manuscript will be placed on the journal’s website in the "Upcoming Articles" section.
