Abstract :
Abstract In this research Nuts Shell Powder (NSP) used as a natural adsorbents for the removal of reactive red 195 dye from aqueous solutions. Reactive red 195 dye is an important dye using in the textile industry, which is very harmful for living creatures, especially humans. In this research, the effect of independent variables, such as reactive red 195 dye concentration (10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 mg/L), time (10-90 min.), initial pH (2,4,6,8,10) and Nuts Shell Powder dosage (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 g/50 mL) on reactive red 195 dye removal efficiency was studied. Maximum reactive red 195 removal was obtained about 89.9% in following conditions: [RR195 ]0=50 mg/L; pH=6.2; [NSP]=2.5 g/250 ml; T= 25±20C So, it can be concluded the Nuts Shell Powder as a natural adsorbent had a high efficiency on of reactive red 195 dye removal from aqueous solutions.
