The facade of the buildings as a part of the urban landscape is considered one of the main elements of the urban bodies, which is first exposed to the view and judgment of the observers. Today, the lack or absence of analytical information about the facade and its components and elements and the importance and impact on the audience has led to the design and production of undesirable facades and visual disorder in cities. The aim of the study to know the elements and components of the facade of the building and the degree of impact on the visual perception of the audience, and seeks to answer the question that according to the audience's point of view, in what order is the priority and importance of elements and components in the facade structure and design? The present research has been carried out using a descriptive-analytical approach based on documentary-library studies, The structure of the facades of the building was identified using the existing theories, and then the key components were extracted by the frequency method and given to a group of architects and experts in the form of a questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. Statistical analysis (factor analysis) of the data collected from 100 questionnaires indicated that in four main categories, elements, components, and aesthetic pillars of the facade, respectively, the middle part, inputs, texture of materials and aesthetic principles of the facade are important from the audience's point of view. Undesired quality and the existing issues in the field of housing are of the main problems in Iran. Removing such problems is one of the necessities in the development plan of architecture and urban development. Providing flexibility by the possibility of creating compatibility or by changing the frame and space for various uses shall lead to the qualitative improvement of the residence space and the satisfaction of many of the needs. By such an approach, it is possible to present solutions for optimizing the space and a suitable response to some of the issues in the field of housing; accordingly, the research was conducted with the purpose of evaluating the effect of each flexibility strategy on solving the housing problems. The current study is an applied study from the purpose viewpoint, and is a combination of documentary and survey methods, from the method viewpoint. To determine the relation between the strategies and the issues, the qualitative method of interview is used and to evaluate the effect of strategies on the issues of the housing field, a questionnaire is used based on the Likert scale. According to the analyses and the findings obtained from the interview and the survey, among the nine existing issues in the field of housing design, seven issues with different rates are solvable using the flexibility strategies. On the one hand, the results indicate that considering the obtained rates, the flexibility strategies are able to solve many issues in the field of housing design. Manuscript profile

The elimination of the needs of society by the higher education system requires constant change and modification of curriculum in line with developments. Whereas the predominant approach of third and fourth-generation universities is professionalism. And although the Bachelor of Architecture course is defined in the curriculum as a professional course; However, scientific and professional expectations in the undergraduate course have not been met; Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the architectural engineering curriculum; And it seeks to answer two questions: What challenges does the curriculum of architectural engineering face from the perspective of the Architecture teachers? And what steps are needed to review and modernize the architectural engineering curriculum in order to vocational education? The approach of the present study is quantitative. This research is applied research and in terms of data collection and control of variables is a descriptive survey. Library studies were used to formulate theoretical foundations and a questionnaire was used to collect data, which is based on Klein curriculum model and consists of 9 components and 71 items. Analysis of data based on a one-sample t-test in SPSS software showed that the curriculum in all nine components is challenged based on Klein's model; So that in 49 out of 71 items, that is 69% in the curriculum, there is a challenge. In the presented paradigm, all the elements of the curriculum are interconnected around the objectives. The low quality of each element casts doubt on the whole and the existence of the curriculum. Therefore, it is necessary to review the curriculum in a completely balanced, proportionate and coherent manner. Manuscript profile

Houses have undergone many changes since the distant past and, different factors have always influenced their structure. Up to a recent century, housing developments have often taken the form of multi-family life, the evolution of which can be seen in the Qajar period. In recent decades, with the development of facilities, lifestyle changes, population growth, land shortages, etc., the spatial structure of housing has also changed. This study aims to analyze the spatial organization of historical and contemporary houses in Mashhad. The main question of the research is what changes have taken place in the spatial configuration of Mashhad houses? And how have these developments adapted to individuals' living conditions? This research uses a sequential exploratory strategy, that in the first step, The qualitative approach in a descriptive-analytical method and data collection has been done by documentary-library studies and field research completion. Then the quantitative approach with the space syntax, an analysis tool is that examines topological relations in spatial structures and analyzes the interrelationships of spatial organization and social activities. Calculations and analyzes using Convex Space Map, Isovist, and Visibility Graph techniques have been performed in UCLDepthmap and Agraph. The research results indicate changes in the spatial organization, type of spaces, and diversity of human activities in the spatial configuration houses. Despite the changes in the topological structure of residential in Mashhad, in each period, a suitable solution has been presented to create a hierarchy of access, optimal performance of spaces, and privacy, following the living conditions of individuals. Architecture and music share many similarities from conceptual and perceptual viewpoints. They are alsosimilar in the fundamental principles governing them, such as rhythm, proportionalities, harmony, repetition, etc. Therefore, the strong link between music and architecture is manifested in the atmospherethey create, a mental or visual atmosphere which is barely investigated in relevant studies. The goal of thecurrent study is to investigate and perceive the formal relationship between music and architecture, beyondthe fundamentals linking them. The main research questions are: How can we relate the image created bya musical work and the impression created by that? Is there any relationship between the impression createdby the music and an appropriate architectural atmosphere favorable to individuals? The focus of the currentstudy is to consider the image created as a result of some complete piece of Iranian music, which isevaluated by the elderly (sample). Employing logical reasoning research method and simulation model, thestudy aims to find an answer for the first research question, and by seeking a yes/no answer to the secondresearch question, create an opportunity for the future research. Accordingly, first, the literature regardingthe relationship between music and architecture is reviewed. Next, the concept of atmosphere in architectureand music is described. Then the relationship between the feeling of interest towards the music type andthe features of images created as the result of music is explained. The results indicated that pieces of musicin which the rhythm is happier and faster result in more complex geometric shapes and more extrovertstructure. Finally, the study suggests that there is a close relationship between the impression created by themusic and the perception gained as a result of simulated image, which can be used in producing architecturalworks.
