Abstract :
Abudolaf Masarabin al-Mahlahal Al-Khazraji Al-Nubai, one of the world travelers and travelers of the 4th century of Hijri, traveled from his homeland in Arabia to the eastern regions of the Islamic world and visited countries such as China, India and Iran. Abu Dolf recorded the results of his observations and experiences from these trips in two separate travelogues or treatises (the first treatise on the trip to China and India and the second treatise on the trip to Iran). The second treatise, which is about his travels in the eastern and western regions of Iran, contains valuable and thought-provoking material about different cities and regions of Iran. The main issue of this research is, what aspects of the geological field in different regions of Iran did Abu Dolf deal with in the second treatise? It seems that in addition to the common topics mentioned in the travelogues, Abudolf Mas'ar bin Al-Mohalhel has paid attention to this issue due to his interest in geological topics, and valuable information in the field of geology and its complications, including mountains, mines, It provides the reader with underground reserves (specialized), soil type and oil wells in each area. This research has been done by descriptive-analytical method.
