Electronic Banking and the Application of Bank Cards in Bank Performance Improving

Abstract :
This article investigates the effect of bank cards on improving the bank performance. Electronic banking (e-banking) can be defind as the technology that represents a variety of different services, such as the common automatic teller machine (ATM) services, direct deposit, automatic bill payment (ABP), electronic transfer of funds (EFT), and computer banking (PC banking). One of the tools of electronic transfer of funds (EFT) that is of special importance in electronic commerce is bank cards. The present research investigates the effect of Bank cards on improving East Azerbaijan Melli Bank performance. This was carried out by using documents and surveying the viewpoints of customers (Melli Card Owners). To determine the method, various underlying theories in this research were used, and eventually the effects of using these cards were considered. It became clear that using bank cards increases the sense of security and satisfaction among customers and the bank’s profiting. Also there is a direct link between using bank cards and the increase of transfer by point of sales, improvement transactions, getting and transferring money by Automatic teller machines.
