Abstract :
The Muslim Brotherhood is one of the most important and influential political groups in Egypt's internal politics, since its formation in 1928. After the fall of Hosni Mubarak, the Muslim Brotherhood was a coherent and organized political actor capable of taking power in the post-Mubarak era. But only one year after coming to power, this group has been marginalized and has lost its influence and credibility in the eyes of many Egyptians. This research raises the question, "What were the reasons for the failure of the Muslim Brotherhood after 2011 AD?" Using the descriptive-analytical method and using the constructivist approach, it evaluates the hypothesis that the Egyptian military and opposition groups considered the Muslim Brotherhood as a cause of instability and the spread of division among Islamist groups, and because of this, they prevented this group from gaining power. This view of the opposition groups of the Brotherhood is the main reason for the failure of the Brotherhood, along with other structural reasons, after gaining power in 2011.
