Abstract :
One of the main issues discussedin the jurisprudence, is the issue of women's voice, on which there are some disagreements among experts (Faqihs.) In this study we have divided this voice to lyrical and non-lyricalforms. The voice of women in non-lyrical form, like giving a speech has been considered as illegitimate by the earlyfaqihs of Shia Sect. However, the contemporary experts, regarding the Sira (life style/biography) of Imams and Islamic Sira, have interpreted the women’s non-lyrical voice as permitted and allowed. Regarding the lyrical form, the early and first faqihs who considered the lyrical form as unlawful andillegitimate, undoubtedly and evidently interpret the lyrical form as illegitimate, too. But other faqihs who do not have a problem with non-lyrical voice, have disagreements on the lyrical one. Some believe that it is “legitimate” and permitted (through resorting to reasons and documents) and many others interpreted it as “legitimate” and lawful, because the Quran, Sunnah and Ijma know the lyrical sound as inherently and essentially illegitimate.
