Prediction marital adjustment on the moral development

Abstract :
The present study was conducted to predict marital adaption based on moral development. For this purpose, 130 couples in Tehran were selected using Randomly sampling method. The instruments for collecting information were Spanier Marital Adaptation questioner (DAS), Moral Development Scale. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation) and correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The results of regression analysis indicated that between marital adaption with moral development subscales in environmental ethics with coefficient (0.42), family ethics (0.61), social ethics (0.42), spiritual ethics 0.41), with human morality (0.49) and with its ethics of care (0.59) there is a significant positive relationship. The moral growth rate of each of the couples in 6 subscales of moral development improves relationships, reduces marital conflicts and improves marital adjustment.
