Investigating the effect of social capital on improving and developing the quality of life of athletic and non-athletic students, a case study; Students of the four units of Islamic Azad University of Tehran

Abstract :
Today; In developing countries, the distribution of social capital is considered one of the effective factors of sustainable development, which can be considered as the main pillar of development. Since trust, participation and social solidarity are among the dimensions of social capital, it is considered a criterion for the development of quality in a social system. which in this case is a basis for development. This research was conducted with the aim of the impact of social capital on the improvement and development of the quality of life of athletic and non-athletic male and female students of Islamic Azad University of Tehran. The tool for collecting information was the researcher-made questionnaire of social capital with 18 questions, the reliability of which was obtained by Cronbach's alpha test method as 0.886. The statistical population of the research was determined from among 135,405 students using the limited population sampling method and through Cochran's formula by reducing d to 0.037. The sample number was 681 people, and after removing outliers and non-answers, 666 responses were examined.Descriptive tests were used to examine the data, and independent t-statistics and one-way analysis of variance were used to test the hypotheses using spss 25 software. The result is that; Sports is one of the categories that directly and indirectly affects health and quality of life and is considered one of the social assets of any advanced society.
