Religious performance in the Timurid period and its impact on Sadat's position

Abstract :
Due to their association with the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Sadat was always respected by the general public in the Islamic society and had a special dignity in the eyes of both Sunni and Shia people apart from the political behavior the governments. With the emergence of the Timuri dynasty in Iran, Sadat enjoyed a special position and dignity during the Timuri era. In every city of Diyar Sadat, they were safe from the attacks of the Timuri troops. Timur gave many favors Sadat and they were pampered by him. He called the nobles of Sadat to his court, and some religious positions such as Sadarat, niqab, and judging were assigned to them. Sadat's way Timur's court caused them to enjoy a lot of dignity. After Timur, Sadat lost his position and authority to a certain extent, but some Timuri rulers such as Shahrukh and Sultan Hussein, in the continuation of Timur's career, paid attention to Sadat and used them in court affairs. Sadat's presence in the Timurid court caused some Shiites to start efforts, which resulted in the expansion and growth of Shiism in Iran. This research tries to analyze the role of Sadat in the expansionShiism, the duties and consequences their performance in the Teymuri period, using a descriptive analytical method and a historical approach, relying on library studies. The findings of the research show that Sadat provided the conditions for the promotion of Shiism by establishing relations and converging with Timuri political rulers and gaining their support.
