Abstract :
Compared with other forms of art, music is more likely to digress. The young are both the main consumer and producer of music. Melodies have specific vibrations depending on their rhythm and distances between notes. These vibrations transfer or produce a feeling or stimulus by stimulating neurons. Various music styles have been developed throughout the world. Their characteristics and their effects on health and mind are very different. Anxiety, as part of everyday life of all societies, is regarded as a proper response. Throughout developing, children experience many types of experience. Research method: The study is a descriptive research to investigate the relationship between music and anxiety in students. Spielberger and music questionnaire were administered for 445 students (232 males, 208 females) in Talash school. Data were analyzed using t-test and chi square. Results: Students are interested in music a lot, but have a little knowledge of it. The relationship between the degree of interest and the amount of stress is significant among the male students. Familiarity with music has a significant relationship with anxiety among female students
