The Presence of Deylamids in contemporary governments’ military system

Abstract :
The strategic situation of Daylam, for its vast mountainous virgin lands, has been the reason for appearance of fighters, combatants and warriors familiar with special combating skills who were protecting their boundaries from the enemies attack while defending their homeland independence against them. These typical characteristics of the region made it as a suitable base for the central government opposition forces. And it was the reason that Allavid one of the first Iranian independent Shiite governments contemporary with Abasid Caliphs’ domination appeared. Daylamids, besides their innate characteristics and combating abilities, using Iranian old culture and tradition during different historical periods, specially, contemporized with contemporary governments and aftermath at least until the sixth of Hejri year and twelfth of Christian era could attend in Iranian and Islamic armies in the form of military trained groups. The present article is an effort to the study of the reasons of the Daylamian presence and role during these periods.
