Phenomenological Study of Students Criteria in Choosing a Supervisor professor (Studied case: Islamic Azad University, Bojnourd Branch)

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to review the criteria for choosing a supervisor professor from the viewpoint of M.A students of Islamic Azad University, Bojnourd Branch. The research was applied in a purposeful and descriptive manner. The research was conducted with a phenomenological and quantitative qualitative approach in two stages. The statistical population consisted of 673 M.A students. Based on Cochran's formula, 254 person were selected through stratified random sampling. A researcher-made questionnaire was designed based on a phenomenological approach based on interviews with the statistical population with 11 criteria and 24 sub-scales. Based on data analysis, using Fridman test, by SPSS 21, M.A Students have given the most importance to "awareness" and have given the least importance to "influence" of supervisor. Also, female M.A students had the most importance for "commitment" and least important "influence", and the male M.A students had the most importance for "awareness" and least important for "position" of supervisor.
