Abstract :
The aim of this study was to analyze the mentality of executives towards telecommuting employees in the organization using the Q method. The research method in terms of applied purpose, in terms of exploratory nature and in terms of data collection, is a descriptive survey that was calculated using the Q method (qualitative-quantitative) different mental patterns of executives to telecommuting employees in the organization. Among the managers of Qom executive bodies, 32 managers were selected as the target community by purposeful and non-probabilistic sampling method and interviewed with Q-based method and cards related to Q propositions were distributed among them. . Based on the distributed cards, out of 40 statements, 23 final statements were identified and then prioritized by the participants. Finally, based on the findings and results of Q factor analysis, it was found that there are three different mental models (mind model of status-oriented managers, organization-oriented and employee-centered) to telecommuting employees. Based on the final conclusion, it can be interpreted that a large percentage of the statements and mental patterns identified by managers are situation-oriented and believed that telecommuting is necessary due to the current situation such as the Corona crisis, but some other managers have an organization-oriented perspective. They considered teleworking to be to the detriment of the organization as a whole. In contrast to the third mental model, they emphasized the usefulness of teleworking for employees and the organization.
