Abstract :
Dystopia is an unpleasant imaginary world in which all human ideals have been turned into anti-ideals; the prediction of this corrupt world in fictional literary has been represented by novels and short stories. In this article, through the descriptive-analytical research method, the dystopian characteristics of three Iranian books "kaj zadegi", "khodayane shahri va ashbahe parse zanande" and "jazireyi baraye tabeede kaghaz pareha" have been compared to three foreign books "1984", " The Handmaid's Tale” and "Mortelle" and after the comparison of the similarities and differences, the following results were obtained: - The characteristics of "fear, loss of identity, deprivation of liberty, denial of individuality, lies and deception" have been tailored to their communities and audiences. - Iranian stories are not as rich as compared to foreign books in terms of description, details, creating atmosphere and character development. - The Iranian dystopian stories do not convey the concerns of the Iranian authors correctly and have less impact on the readers in terms of creating hope and transformation.
