Abstract :
Research in the field of language and gender is one of the new studies in social linguistics that was conducted as a result of feminists' efforts to balance the social status of men and women; Linguists and researchers in the field of speech differences between men and women have provided statistics that are relatively stable in various fields. Addressing these differences in the verbal behavior of men and women leads to awareness and ultimately the cultural promotion of society in the desired direction of human relations. The advantage of this research is equally understandable in literary works, because written works, especially novels, in addition to the ability to study language and gender as a cultural feature of the author, can be effective in recognizing the gender attitude of a community in a specific time and place. On this basis, examine the distinction between the language of the author and the characters in historical periods and cultural dimensions, as a reality of human-social life. The present study evaluates the author of the novel " Deraznaye shab " in the use of gender language and specifically looks at the lexical differences between men and women; Based on the data of linguists and researchers in this field, about some of the lexical differences between men and women, such as the use of oath, colour terms, swearings, emotional traits and words, hedges, and intensifiers.
