Abstract :

A myth is a belief before and more than being a story about the creation and beginning of all parts of existence. Believing that myth can explain the state of the world, at least for myth believers, and provide a convincing reason for everything that happens in it. These justifications are convincing from the side that myth is everywhere connected with ritual and therefore sacred. Myth is formed and narrated in language. Therefore, the best manifestation of that is literature, especially poetry. Because the fundamental element of myth and poetry is imagination. In his philosophical and scientific works, Khayyam did not use any myths or mythological viewpoints, But in his quatrains, for various reasons, among others, to deepen his thoughts, he goes to the myth, for example, he finds the mythological figure of Ki Khosro as a powerful and powerful simile to represent the true instability of the world and the inability of man to face death. Apart from mythological characters, animals, objects and time, Khayyam's mythological vision is also evident in most of his quatrains. He has such insight and insight that he sees the corruption of the world in pots, flowers, and plants, and by means of them, he symbolizes the endless process of coming, being, and going of man and the parts of existence. The information related to the subject of this article has been collected through library study and then analyzed and described using the qualitative research method. The obtained results show that Khayyam has used both the intellectual and emotional aspects of his existence in the quatrains, and despite his supposed knowledge, he has not denied the deep influence of the myth on the human mind and life.
