Abstract :

Historiography and recording events of each period is directly related to literature. In order to understand events of each era, one must refer to ancient texts and cultural and historical information can be extracted from among them. Masnavi Bagh_e_Eram is composed by Kamal al-Din Shir Ali Banaei Heravi, a poet of the Timurid era. In this work, Banaei Heravi has recorded events of that period and his contemporaries such as Khaje Mohammad Yahya, Amir Ali Shir Navai, Soltan Yaqoub, Abdol Ghafoor Lari and some senior officials such as Judge Isa and others, between the main story of "Bahram and Behrouz". Due to his interest in recording historical events, he has recorded tragedies and murders of that period in text. Banaei like Beyhaghi reports image of appearance and dressing of some people in analysis of characters, especially appearance of people. His ability in these descriptions is in way that characters and narratives are understandable to audience.Banaei Heravi has been able to convey events with explicity and honestly. It can be said; Banaei's works have been the written source of historians of his era and after. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical and four manuscripts of the Masnavi of Bagh Eram were used.
