Nazmi’s similar expression from Saadi’s sonnets

Abstract :
Motif exits as a major element in literary works; the poet’s main idea can be reached through motif investigation. Nazmi is of the contemporary poets who has written poems following contemporary traditionalists. The current study investigated Ali Nazmi’s sonnet motifs via content analysis method. Examining his sonnet motifs demonstrates that although he used to live in the contemporary era, following the features of classical sonnet, he has employed traditional motifs. Nazmi is one of the poets that he is really devoted to saadi and hebelieves saadi is the reason of his success in the field of sonnet poetry. This research wants to use the descriptive, analytical and comparative method for Saadi and Nazmi’s sonnets and examines of motifs and musical elements. . The purpose of this research is to know Nazmi’s method. The findings show that Nazmi is similar to Saadi in areas such as motifs also shows that in some sonnets Nazmi like Saadi, uses literary, linguistic and intellectual possibilities to induce his motif and theme.
