study of the antimicrobial activity of alcoholic and hydro -alcoholic extract of Euphorbia helioscopia plant from Qom region

Abstract :
In this exmperimental study, the stem of Euphorbia helioscopia plant was gathered from the Tinoj village of Qom in the end of the spring 1392. The extract-making on the Euphorbia helioscopia plant was performed by different solvents and use of Soxhlet system and the soaking method. extract was performed by solvents such as methanol ,ethanol , hexane ,distilled water and water-ethanol. Anti-microbial activity of this plant identified by measuring the inhibition halo diameter and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) for levels: Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonellatyphi, Candida albicans and by method of Plait sump and diluting in cultivate liquid environment, respectively. According to performed study , it can be concluded that extracts of the stem of Euphorbia helioscopia plant has the high anti-bacterial activity. Methanol extracts soaking and ethanol extracts soxhelt have most antimicrobial effect .according to performed research, it can be concluded that extracts of stalk of Euphorbia helioscopia have relatively highest antimicrobial activity.
