Abstract :
Background and Objective: Urban parks are crucially important in improving quality of life in urban communities. Since, health and safety of citizens depend on health and safety of the environment, application of HSE-MS to identify the hazards and control them in urban parks seems necessary. The objectives of current study were to rank the factors influencing HSE management of urban parks and to present a model for HSE evaluation of parks. Method: In this study, HSE factors of urban parks were ranked by using F.TOPSIS. Then a model was established based on scalograph method to determine desirability of HSE-MS in urban parks. The model was examined in three urban parks at Karaj. Results: The results from validation of the proposed model in three urban parks indicated that, health and safety of environment in Iran Zamin and Tandorosti parks were moderate while they were weak in Ebne Sina Park. Conclusion: The proposed model for evaluation of health and safety of environment in urban parks was precise; however, application of other MCDM approaches was suggested to reach a more comprehensive model.
